Ilia State University’s academic and administrative staff actively participated in two intensive international trainings delivered within the framework of the PRODIGE Project, further strengthening the institution’s capacity for digital education transformation. These trainings took place from 26 January to 6 February 2026 and from 24 February to 6 March 2026, addressing two key dimensions of digital education: innovative teaching and learning practices, and the redesign of student-centered institutional services. Together, they provided a comprehensive learning experience aimed at aligning higher education processes with the evolving demands of digital environments.
The first training focused on “Course Delivery and Teaching Methods for Digital Education.” Over a two-week blended format, participants explored advanced pedagogical approaches such as simulation-based and production-based learning. Through a combination of synchronous sessions and self-paced modules, academic staff engaged with practical tools for creating interactive digital scenarios, virtual role-playing activities, and authentic student-centered assignments. Particular emphasis was placed on designing learning experiences that promote critical thinking, real-world application, and meaningful student engagement, as well as on developing appropriate assessment strategies adapted to digital contexts.
The second training extended participation to both academic and administrative staff, reflecting the importance of a holistic institutional approach to digital education. Participants examined strategies for digital student recruitment and admissions, as well as the design of structured onboarding and integration processes. The program also explored innovative approaches to fostering student life in virtual environments, including online community-building initiatives, digital student services, and mechanisms for supporting student well-being and engagement.
