Ilia State University Hosts the Final Consortium Meeting of the PEACEEDU Project

On 29–30 October 2026, Ilia State University hosted the final consortium meeting of the European Union co-funded international project “Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova” (PEACEEDU).

The meeting brought together representatives of partner universities and organisations from Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova, as well as international partners from Finland, Austria, and Germany.

The two-day meeting aimed to review the activities carried out, results achieved, and key milestones reached throughout the project; facilitate the exchange of experiences among partner countries; and explore prospects for the project’s sustainability and future cooperation.

On the first day, partners discussed activities undertaken in the areas of project development, quality assurance, and dissemination of results. Each country presented its experience and achievements, followed by discussions and an exchange of views.

Particular attention was given to the dissemination and sustainability of the project’s results. Partners worked together on a draft sustainability plan and explored opportunities to maintain and further develop the outcomes achieved beyond the project’s completion.

The second day focused on project management, the review of implemented activities and achieved milestones, and the definition of future commitments, tasks, timelines, and responsibilities. An important part of the meeting was a joint working session during which partners discussed future plans and potential areas for continued cooperation.

The PEACEEDU project aims to promote peace education and reform educational programmes in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova. The final consortium meeting provided an important opportunity to take stock of the project’s achievements, strengthen partnerships, and plan future activities in the field of peace education.

Projects may come to an end, but the partnerships, experience, and friendships built through them create new opportunities for cooperation.
