On March 16, within the frameworks of ISU College of Sport, the representatives of Travel Club, member of the joint project “Explore Outdoor” of Latvia and Georgia and Mountain Tourism organized a group meeting with participation of students from Tourism Management, Mountain and Ski Tourism. In addition, representatives of Student Self-Government of the College and Tourism Department of ISU Student Self-Government attended the meeting.
The organizers talked about the activities carried out in the recreational area of Georgia within the frameworks of the project:
City Rally is an active game for those who want to study geography and history of the city, like sports and have a desire to win; is keen on exploring and discovering, or just wants to meet new people, have fun and to enjoy socializing with friends.
Sport / Touring hiking – provides possibilities to participate in sports activities, to find out interesting routes and to come across the destinations through maps.
Discover Rivers – the activity includes a river rafting and introduction to river valleys.
At the meeting, the organizers showed touring hiking related photos, videos and sport activities organized in Mtsketa, Lake Chili, Rkoni, Ananuri and Tandzia.
The meeting was very productive for students to make plans and to work on joint events/activities, to obtain knowledge and to exchange experience with European colleagues. It seems to be creating a solid ground to implement joint goals and objectives of Travel Club and Mountain Tourism.
