Between 8 and 15 August, 2010, an ecological field work envisaged by the project Alpine Biodiversity in the Caucasus and its Functional Importance financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF/ SCOPES) was launched in Kazbegi, Central Caucasus; Professors at the ISU Institute of Ecology (M. Akhalkatsi, G. Nakutsrishvili, O. Abdaladze and K. Batsatsashvili) and bachelor students will be involved in the ecological works.
