On May 5, Museum of the Soviet Occupation hosted presentation of a new graduate program of the Ilia State University “Soviet and Post-Soviet Studies”.

The graduate program of Soviet and Post-Soviet Studies unites interdisciplinary research on changes and forming of post-soviet institutes and identities. It foresees training of new generation experts and researchers who will work in the realm of political science, sociology, economy and history.

Ilia State University is a research university which sets the goal to ensure integrated study and research processes. A new program of Soviet and Post-Soviet Studies is based on combination of both components. According to the head of the program Sergo Ratiani the program sets the goal

to produce experts and future researchers who will be able to analyze transformation of Soviet and Post-Soviet systems. Students will enjoy an opportunity to work in the archives of the Ministry of Interior and do research on the facts and events which are of special importance for the world research centers.
