On June 18 Ilia State University and Georgian Football Federation signed a memorandum of cooperation. According to the memorandum students from the College of Sport who take exceptional interest in Football, will be able to participate in a training program of the Federation. The program was elaborated by UEFA and its goal is to educate C class trainers. After completion of the studies the trainers will be skilled and eligible to train 7-15 year old kids at the schools and sports clubs.
At present Georgia has about 2,500 holders of C category certificates. In case of interest the federation declared itself ready to support graduates of the university to upgrade their category. Completing of a UEFA training program is an absolute necessity for those, who wish to become trainers and work continue their professional career  training  young sportsmen. The program enables its participants to obtain the license issued by the Georgian Football Federation.

Memorandum was signed by the Head of the Administration of Ilia State University Sergo Ratiani and the President of the Football Federation Zviad Sichinava.
