Ilia State University water polo team “Ligamus” met students. At the end of 2008, Ilia Chavchavadze State University established a water polo club “Ligamus” on the basis of sport complex “Karishkhala” where sportsmen of different ages are able to train. Most of the representatives of the older generation are also the members of Georgian National Water Polo Team. 

Sergo Ratiani, Head of ISU administration and the main initiator in creating the group, talked about the most important challenges concerning the launching of the team.

The head of the team is Vladimer Iselidze, Former Captain of Tbilisi “Dinamo”, Honored Master of Sports of USSR, Member of Union Team, two-time Champion of World UNIVERSIAD, Participant of Montreal Olympic Games, Winner of Many International Tournaments, two-time bombardier of USSR Spartakiada.
