Head of the Laboratory of Ichthyology and Hydrobiology of the Institute of Zoology, Assistant Professor Bela Japoshvili, visits Abo Akademi University in the frames of the Coimbra Group Scholarship program (01.06.-31.08.2010, http://www.abo.fi/student/biovetmiljoochmarinbiologi). At the moment she works at the Tvarminne Zoological Station of the University of Helsinki (http://luoto.tvarminne.helsinki.fi/english), where a team headed by Prof. Kai Lindström conducts field and experimental research on the fish and ecology in the spawn period, nest building instinct peculiarities in males, evolution of male care etc. Pomatoschistus minutus was chosen as a research object.
