The second consortium meeting of the project “Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova” (PeaceEdu — ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) was held on April 2–3, 2025 at the State University of Moldova and the State Pedagogical University of Moldova.
During the meeting, participants discussed the following topics: the transformative role of peace education; didactic approaches of peace education: from theory to practice; syllabi for academic courses in peace studies and peace education and their integration into university curricula; extracurricular activities focused on peacebuilding; and opportunities for collaboration between universities and non-governmental organizations in peace initiatives; financial and administrative issues related to the project were also addressed.
Representatives from Ilia State University — Professor Sofiko Lobzhanidze and Lia Tvilidiani, a doctoral student in the Educational Science program — presented the developed syllabi for teacher training programs, the plans for piloting, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as information on the student activities carried out and future plans.
