On April 19, National Parliamentary Library of Georgia hosted presentation of a new graduate program of Information Management which was initiated by the Ilia State University.

The Program sets the goal to ensure access to existing data, create a platform that would be compatible with international information systems and establish mechanisms of their effective management. This is going to happen with help of skilled professionals – graduates of the program. Information manager is a person who plans and administers the processes of retrieving, systematization and dissemination of information. These actions have to be carried out based on specific goals, strategy and profile of the institute.

Along with presentation of the new graduate program memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ilia State University and the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, Georgian National Museum, National Scientific Library of Georgia, George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation, National Centre of Manuscripts, Ivane Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology, Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics, Agency of Protected Territories, Institute of Innovation Systems, Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN).

According to the memorandum, the sides plan to carry out joint research projects and work on development of study programs.
