Our new research on landslide processes in the Vere River basin has been published in Geomatics, an international scientific journal ranked in the Q1 and Q2 quartiles.
Eleven years after the devastating disaster of 13-14 June 2015, slope stability in the Vere River basin remains an important concern.
In the study, we investigated the current conditions of a slope adjacent to the 2015 landslide source area by integrating satellite radar observations (SBAS InSAR), high-resolution UAV imagery and numerical modeling.
The findings reveal that the slope continues to undergo slow deformation and that its stability is particularly sensitive to changes in pore-water pressure.
These results highlight the importance of systematic landslide monitoring and timely hazard assessment in the Vere River basin.
