As part of an initiative marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, students are invited to participate in the Decoding the Declaration Speech Contest.
Participants are invited to prepare an original speech examining the founding principles of the Declaration of Independence, their influence on American national identity, the strength and prosperity of the United States, and its emergence as a global leader in the contemporary world.
The theme of the contest is: “From Independence to Global Leadership: What Do Its Promises Mean Today?”
Participants will have 5–7 minutes to present their argument, examine established assumptions, connect past and present, and articulate their own perspective.
Speeches and the working language of the contest will be English.
Applications will open on October 6 and close on October 16.
All participating students will receive certificates of participation.
